My name is Ben Turner. I write software for the web and have experience at all layers of the web application stack, from CSS and Javascript on the front end, to Ruby, Python, and Java on the server side, to SQL and non-SQL distributed data stores on the back end.
I am keenly interested in the human side of computing, and have a certificate in User-Centered Design as well as a degree in Computer Science. I focus on ensuring that technology is really meeting the needs people have and not just satisfying an abstract list of requirements.
I write code and build systems that not only solve the problem at hand, but that are also easy for other developers to understand, use, and extend.
